Many trans people across America struggle to feel good in their skin due to steep price tags and limited health insurance coverage that restrict their access to desired gender-affirming care. Dove wanted to be a part of building a future where all of us can feel beautiful, so we created Real Beauty Insurance. It isn’t traditional health insurance, it’s a grant that partnering healthcare specialists can give to their patients to help them pay for transition-related expenses. Dove made this possible by directing 10% of their yearly proceeds towards this fund and will continue to do so until all forms of gender-affirming care are covered by major insurance providers.
